How to create a playlist of "Loved" songs in Apple Music?

I have a question that I have yet to find a solution for, hopefully you all can help. I am new to apple music and want to know if there is a way to create an apple music equivalent to Spotify's "Liked from Radio" playlist?

I have created a smart playlist with the loved song and loved albums rules; however, the playlist is still empty despite "loving" multiple songs already. I believe it is because the songs are not saved in my library. So do I have to not only "love" a song so that apple music continues to learn my preferences, but then ALSO add the song to my library so that it will then pop up in my "Loved" smart playlist??
