Can't add artwork to certain albums.

I have added plenty of artwork to my albums in Itunes, however some albums will not let me add artwork. I don't get a error message I go to album info add artwork choose the image and select ok. The album info window closes but no artwork appears on album. I've done this many times with no problems so I know i'm executing the process correctly. I have windows 7 x64, itunes 12.7.4. I really like things neat & organized so this is driving me crazy, trying to clean up my library. Anyone that can help thanks in advance.

You cannot add artwork to tracks that are in .wav format, that are in the cloud, marked as read only, or for which your account does not have write permissions. See Repair security permissions for iTunes for Windows for more.

Thanks a bunch. One of my albums is in wav. format that I've been having trouble with so that explains that.I went through security permissions & I'm all god there, as far as I can tell. But that link you sent has a wealth of info. for tags meta-data & the like that could cause problems in my Itunes. So, i'll definitely refer back to this for future reference.
