Applecare+ is it pointless?
I payed $300 for AppleCare+ my trackpad took a very minimal amount of damage and I tried getting it replaced only to find out Apple wants another $99 from me in ordere to fix it. Why did I pay $300 in the first place?

Please see this note fom the terms of AppleCare +
Under AppleCare+ for Mac, you will pay a $99 (U.S.) dollar service fee plus applicable tax for a screen-only ADH claim or an external enclosure-only ADH claim (“Tier 1 ADH Claim”) or a $299 (U.S.) dollar service fee plus applicable tax for all other ADH claims (“Tier 2 ADH Claim”).
Also note that a trackpad reapir without AppleCare + would be significantly higher than $99.

Ok..
By chance do you have an Apple Store nearby?
Check here > Apple Store - Find a Store - Apple
Whatever you do, do not take your Mac for service at a Best Buy.

Where did you take your Mac?
I called apple support and they send me an email which had the request for $99. I originally bought my macbook pro from bestbuy and the applecare+ with it.
Thank you! I was just looking for that information 🙂
