iCloud Music Library on iPod

I'm getting the message below when trying to enable iCloud music on my iPod.


iCloud Music Library couldn't be enabled. Your iCloud Music Library is temporarily unavailable. Try enabling it again later in settings.

iPod touch (6th generation), iOS 11.3.1

I understand from your post that you are receiving an error saying that iCloud Music Library couldn't be enabled and is temporarily unavailable. The following article has information about iCloud Music Library which you may find helpful:

If iCloud Music Library won't respond or times out

Try these steps:

Turn iCloud Music Library off, then on again

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:

  1. Go to Settings > Music, then tap iCloud Music Library to turn it off.
  2. Close Settings.
  3. Go to Settings > Music, then tap iCloud Music Library to turn it on.

On your Mac or PC:

  1. Open iTunes.
  2. Mac: From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose iTunes > Preferences and turn off iCloud Music Library.
    Windows: From the menu bar at the top of the iTunes window, choose Edit > Preferences and turn off iCloud Music Library.
  3. Close Preferences.
  4. Mac: From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose iTunes > Preferences and turn on iCloud Music Library.
    Windows: From the menu bar at the top of the iTunes window, choose Edit > Preferences and turn on iCloud Music Library.

If you have content downloaded to your device for offline listening, it deletes from your device when you turn off iCloud Music Library. After you turn iCloud Music Library back on, you can redownload the content.
