How to transfer contacts from flip phone to Iphone 8?

I wonder how many other carrier representatives no longer are prepared to support those kinds of changes. I don't believe it is safe yet to believe everyone is using a smartphone."
I find myself needing to exchange contacts with what was a flip phone on Verizon, now on Tracfone, and my iPhone 7 Plus on AT&T (and/or macOS.)
Once upon a time...before I got an iPhone 3G, I had been exchanging contacts between mine and co-workers' flip phones with my and my first generation MacBook Pro (32-bit), which I recently lost. I had everything backed up, but the functionality is gone from my more current (though vintage or nearly) Macs. (I'm typing this message from a mid-2011 21.5" iMac - a Sierra macOS Server with 32GB...something that wasn't possible with later small iMacs, until 4K Retinas... my other Mac seems to have gotten sluggish with age...a Late 2014 Mac Mini. Hopefully a new Mini will be possible soon....)
So, the question is ... is there some other tool either on iOS or macOS that can send and receive contacts with older phones? Preferably iOS, since retiring, I'm running into a lot more people without smartphones. So, find that I'm on the wrong side of the technology divide to exchange contact info.
Some days I think about upgrading from my (Red) iPhone 7 Plus to a flip phone.... does Apple plan come out with such a thing.
From my youth, I had dreamt of two styles of communication devices... A Star Trek communicator ...which I had run around with a portable shaver with a flip guard (though later dreamt of it being a tricorder...) And, shouting at my watch... Well, at least Apple answered the last one. Will, they be coming out with a flip phone soon?
The Dreamer.
