What are the differences between Home Sharing and Family Sharing? THANKS!

They are 2 different things for very different purposes.


Home Sharing allows you to share your iTunes Library from a computer(Mac or Pc) with other devices on the same wifi/wired network for media playback. Music, Videos etc... It does not share Apps.


Home Sharing - Get Started - Apple Support


Family Sharing allows iTunes purchases to be shared with other members of the family group. One person is set as the organizer, and agrees to pay for all purchases made by Family members, and all members can access the purchased history of other members of the family group to download onto their devices. This includes media such as music and movies, as well as apps and books. It also offers other features such as iCloud storage sharing, and shared photo albums and calendars.
