I have 3 devices sharing same Apple ID. How can I ensure that data of each device is stored separately on icloud.

Yes, each device will have its own backups out there on iCloud.

Be sure to provide a unique name for each of your devices that you are backing up to the same iCloud account under Settings>General>About>Name. Then, when you back each one of the devices up, it will be labeled with that name in the iCloud backup list.

If you then erase one of your devices, and restore that device using iCloud, you will get a list of each of the backups available that can be selected to back up your device. Select the most current one with the name of the device you are restoring.

You can not - iCloud is associated with an Apple ID and if you use the same Apple ID from multiple devices they all share everything on iCloud - to have separate storage you need separate Apple IDs

Backups are associated with devices and are not whared
