How to restore missing Documents folder?

Some months ago I disabled iCloud and suddenly could not find my "Dokumenter" folder (that's Documents in Norwegian). Now I wonder how to restore that special folder so that it's recognized as such by the system (by the ⇧+⌘+O shortcut for instance).

The folder is not only missing from the Finder pane. It's gone.

Hallo torkill! If you disabled iCloud (and your Documents folder was in it) then you should have a folder called "iCloud Archive" or similar somewhere in your Home directory. This will contain your Documents folder copied from iCloud! Or look here in your Users Library folder: ~/Library/Mobile Documents. Then to access your Documents folder in a Finder window go to: Finder > Preferences > Sidebar and make sure that Documents is selected. Hope this helps you! Regards, Ian.
