A white line flashes when using ATV 4K in 4K HDR 60Hz mode

Please see the picture, the white line shows on the right bottom of the TV

It doesn't happen when using 4K SDR mode or 4K HDR 50Hz mode and I tried Xbox One X it's also displayed well.

BTW, ATV has been updated to the latest tvOS version (beta version 11.4).

ATV 4k has to be rebooted to get video output We use our ATV 4k as our home hub, so we have it set not to sleep. Frequently, after it has been idle for several hours, there is no video output. If we reboot it (holding home/menu buttons) the video returns. Generally speaking, after a reboot it is good until we stop using it for 24 hours or so. We have it set for HDR to a Sony 4k HDR TV. If things are normal, the Sony TV reports the HDMI 2 connection as Apple TV (HDMI 2), just like it shows Dish Hopper (HDMI 4). If things are abnormal, and the Apple TV needs a reboot, the input menu on the Sony TV will show just "HDMI 2" on the input menu. When there is no apparent video output, I have hooked the HDMI cable up to another TV and it shows no output either. I swapped HDMI cables and the problem persists. I swapped HDMI ports on the TV and the problem persists. (There are only 2 HDR compatible HDMI inputs) I have not tried turning off HDR and moving to a non-HDR port on the TV, as this would not be an acceptable solution even if it fixed the problem. I suspect that the issue is tvOS update or HDR, as these are the only things that have changed in the past couple of months. Is there something I'm missing? Thank you.

Massive audio bug with tvOS 14.5 and Apple TV 4k: loud plops! All over sudden, I get constant tone-bursts (like loud clicks/plops) 2-3 times per second. Imho, the bug I am experiencing seems to be related to tvOS 14.5, since I had the ATV 4K running without any problems until now: Nothing has changed with my fully HDR 4K compliant hardware (Marantz AV7705, Panasonic FZW954). I always had the ATV 4K (the "old" 2017 model) running at 4k HDR 50Hz 4:2:2 (framerate, HDR and Atmos "automatic switching" active) without problems. Now, I have to set the ATV 4K to 1080p HDR 50Hz to get rid of these tone bursts. The bug appears, when: ATV is set to ANY 4K setting (no changes by enabling/disabling any of the "automatic" settings) ATV is switched on and displaying the main screen or navigating settings ATV is switching to screensaver video I navigate within apps like Amazon, Netflix, Apple TV+, Disney+ even when ATV is in standby (!!!!) yes - in standby! I have to disconnect it from mains to stop this! Also, disabling any CEC setting does not help The bug stops, when I start a movie from my streaming provider's app and the ATV switches to the framerate of the movie (mostly 24fps, but also 50fps). The bursts reappear, when in a series, one episode ends and the next is about to start - in the interval between the episodes, the moment the screen "goes black" (in other words, imho when no sync from the episode's frame rate is available). I have done a factory reset to ALL of my components, no changes, the bug persists. So, currently there is no way for me to run my ATV 4K with ANY 4K setting without getting this audio bug. My fear is, that with the introduction of tvOS 14.5, something between the ATV 4K and my AV-Preamp is going majorly wrong and I won't be able to correct this in any way. Anyone an explanation or a solution, please?

AppleTV 4k (Gen3, 2022) - static white noise on black pictures Dear Apple Support Community, when playing a YouTube video that displays a black screen, I can see static white noise / spots on my Sony Bravia XR-77A80K (OLED from 2022). I am not sure if this issue was from the very beginning, because it is not easy to notice at first when watching regular content. However, I have done extensive testing to rule out all other hardware components as being the source of the issue. See picture below to understand how it looks like in an entirely dark room when playing any of the "black screen" videos from YouTube. I have played the same YouTube video from the YouTube App that is available from the Sony TV directly - no white spots. However, to rule out that my AV Receiver (Denon AVC-X4700H) is not the source of the issue, I used my UHD Player (DP-UB9004) to play the same YouTube video - again, no white spots on the screen, all perfectly black (as it should be). I have replaced my Gen2 AppleTV from 2021 with the Gen3 AppleTV from 2022. Same issue! I replaced all connected HDMI cables with certified HDMI 2.1 cables from Oehlbach - same issue, but only on AppleTV. I used a different HDMI port to rule out HDMI port issues on my AVR - same issue. After ruling out all hardware components as being the root cause of the issue, the only thing left is software - I am assuming that this is a software bug on AppleTV OS. I wonder if there are other users out there that noticed this - but make no mistake, the room has to be entirely dark and it has to be an OLED TV. I am using 4k Dolby Vision with both the match framerate and the match dynamic range options set to on.

It is your choice to enroll into a beta software program. Typically beta software is about testing to help out the developers. It is not recommended to run beta software as a means to solve problems: you might be looking at new unpolished issues instead. When you use beta software, there is a non-disclosure clause, meaning you should discuss any issues with the developer alone, and not on public forums. This excludes Support end Help with any issues that may or may not relate to using betas. The latest release version of tvOS is 11.3, which is recommended.

Is your tv from a NTSC region or from a PAL region? That should often determine the choice for 60/50 Hz. And it probably doesn’t matter for relatively new tvs. You just mentioned 50 Hz did work - without the issue. There’s your solution.
