Finder tag issue *Network share*

I know Finder Tags in OS X 10.16.6 can be used on shared drives. but now i've done it, how do u remove them..

Cannot remove tags on right click as its greyed out even when connected as admin..

I've found on other forums, that tags are store in .DS_Store, and these must be on shared folder, because it appears regardless if i delete Finder.plist, Caches etc..

Unfortunately, it looks like hidden folders only show on local, not shared networks, so unable to remove these tags.

I tried the find option in Terminal but didn't work..

Is there any other method i could use?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS Sierra (10.12.6), 8 Gig

On my 10.13.4 MacBook Air with an APFS boot drive, I have a share mounted from a Synology DiskStation via AFP over TCP/IP, and the Finder can see, and remove a tag on a file from that storage. I wonder if you are mounting via SMB, and that is a restriction for Finder tag operations?

See this Ask Different post on how to use xattr to remove tags from files/folders. Unless you are whacking a folder and its contents, you won't need the recursive (-r) used in the example. The xattr command has a man page.
