Email Advanced Settings - Deleted Msg Handling

Hi brains trust.

I am attempting to reset the settings for handling deleted messages on my boss's iPhone (IMAP account). Under advanced settings I have selected 'Deleted Messages>Remove>Never' and select Done.

It doesn't appear to be accepted, as when I check it shows the setting as 'Deleted Messages>Remove after one week'.

Any thoughts?

Hello mum22kidsandadog,

After reviewing your post, it sounds like you are making a change to a setting on the iPhone and it is being accepted but will then change a week later. One reason the setting will work but change after some time is if the device is managed and has a profile on it that requires and updates to specific settings. If you go to Settings > General > Device Management, you should see if the iPhone has an MDM profile that may be making these changes.
