Erasing deleted messages in Mail

I have had difficulties in stopping binned emails returning incessantly. I think I've found the solution. When in Mail, go to Mailbox in the Menu Bar. Under Erase Deleted Items, click In All Accounts. Hey presto - it worked for me.

Exactly. Each account has its own Trash folder and you have to delete each Trash email from each account. You can also delete them all by right clicking any box and selecting "Erase Deleted Items".
