Increased number of scam emails from Apple

User uploaded fileUser uploaded fileDear All,

I would like to know the following points:

-is there any reason (anything changed?) why I am getting more scam emails on the behalf of Apple?

-Is there any official e-mail address where I could forward the received email for detailed analysis? to help preventing these kind of issues for Apple users?

Avoid phishing emails, fake 'virus' alerts, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support

To report a suspicious email, forward the message to Apple with complete header information. To forward the email: In macOS Mail, select the email and choose Forward As Attachment from the Message menu at the top of your computer screen.

These email addresses are monitored by Apple, but you might not receive a reply to your report.

  • If you receive what you believe to be a phishing email that's designed to look like it’s from Apple, please send it to reportphishing@apple.com.
  • To report spam or other suspicious emails that you receive in your iCloud.com, me.com, or mac.com Inbox, please send them to abuse@icloud.com.
  • To report spam or other suspicious messages that you receive through iMessage, tap Report Junk under the message.

You'd have to ask the scammers. They're the ones who send them.

You may wish to change your Apple ID log/pass with a complex password you don’t use for anywhere else.

If you share the same or similar log/pass combo with another service (e.g. Yahoo, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) and that service is compromised then anyone with that information simply needs to try the same combo elsewhere.

I have at least 7 emails I use at any given time. I use my Apple email strictly for Apple and literally dozens of Apple devices I own or support, I think I get one or two spams a year, and it's always from the same spammer.

My work email, which I only use for work is about 50/50 legit and spam, and this is with a hardware spam filter enabled.

My google email which I use for everything else (I maintain 5 of them) sorta bad, manageable, my Microsoft accounts (I have 3, I used to have 6) the hotmail accounts are inundated with spam; the previous ones I had to abandon.

If you used your address on a forum, website, questionnaire, email, an online sale, a food truck or basically any system anywhere on the world... These are some of many ways for a spammer to get info
