how can i drag images from desktop to iMovie?

Hi, Kamala,
Open iMovie. Put your cursor on the photo on your desktop and, while pressing down, drag the photo into the timeline of an iMovie project. You can select several photos and drag them in as a batch. You can also select or create an event (File/New Event) in the iMovie media sidebar and drag the photos into the event.
