How do I stop my cropped photos from reverting to their originals?

I have many screenshotted photos that I have cropped. Recently, the majority of my cropped photos have reverted to their originals. I cropped them again, and they remained cropped until the next day. I tried cropping them repeatedly, but by the next day they have all reverted. This is a great inconvenience, so help would be greatly appreciated!
