Typing Urdu on Mac

Hello,

I have just moved on to mac and I am struggling a lot to type a few words of Urdu on Mac. I mean, I cannot type it on MS Word, Other Urdu softwares are not supported on Mac. I tried Google Docs with Noto Font but it's still not working. Can anyone suggest something how can I fix this problem? as I need to use Urdu font on design applications like Photoshop and Sketch but I am not even able to type it on word.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Areeb

Have you tried Word 2016? Word 2011 cannot support RTL scripts (any many others as well), it is useless and also obsolete now.

You should have no problem typing urdu in standard Mac apps like TextEdit, Pages, Notes, Mail, etc. Exactly what is not working right for you?

For doing correct Urdu on Adobe apps you should ask in the Adobe forums, and they may have special requirements regarding fonts.
