Will Iphotos upload folders?
Will Iphotos upload folders, or do I need to open each folder and select the individual photos?

You can use folders in iPhoto but it has no iCloud capability - and you can use folders in Photos which does have - for both folders have only albums and other folders in them - photos ae only i albums, not folders
there is a feature of the current Photos on the Mac to import folders of Photos and make albums of them - as far as I know there is no such capability on a PC (but the PC is not my strong suit)
