Can’t find my Airpods because they don’t show up on Find My IPhone

I don’t know where my airpods are because they won’t show up on find my iPhone, the other day I used them on a device that doesn’t have the same Apple ID and I don’t own that device anymore or know that Apple ID, how do I find my airpods cause it took a lot to get them and now I can’t find them I have no idea where they are can you help?
