Problem with live YouTube streaming using the front camera and having a mirror image

My ipad air 2 recently started doing something strange. The result of my live YouTube stream is like the mirrored image (horizontally flipped) that shows up on my ipad's screen when using the front camera. Usually this is only on the screen as the recording is happening, but for some reason the stream now broadcasts it this way. (Which it was never doing before). It seems to be problem with the iOS YouTube app, I would presume. When I record a normal video with the camera app using the front camera, I don't have this problem. I have scourged the internet for an answer to this question and have found nothing, as if I am the only person in the world experiencing this problem.

So the problem is not that I see a mirror image on my screen using the front camera, (that is normal) but rather that the end product of the recording or stream is that mirrored image which it shouldn't be!

I have performed the most recent iOS update.

Any help would be much appreciated!
