locked out of ipad

i am locked out of my ipad !! how do i get it out of disabled mode, i connect to itunes on my computer and it says i have to enter pin on the ipad but i cant help me please ! I didn't ever connect it to iTunes before my kids locked me out

Try recovery mode : If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

But how do I do that?? I looked it up but it only shows iPhones not ipad

What 'only shows iPhones' ? The linked instructions that I gave apply to iOS devices, not just iPhones.
