hi, I've trying to enable messages for iCloud on my Mac, I've download the new iOS 11.4 on iPhone/ipad and messages for iCloud is activated on both, an new iTunes version was released and installed that. but doesn't seem to be a macOS update released, so don't know how to activate this. or am I missing something?

But this still did not really help me. I installed the new software on 2 macs. The first one had no issue and works perfectly. The second, with identical versions, does not give the option to Enable Messages in iCloud.

I don't have iMessage turned on so I can't test it but it may be that the support article is a bit ahead of a coming MacOS update.

Apple document (link below) clarifies the process for activating Messages in iCloud on Mac in advance. The feature is not here yet. I expect Mac update to be released tonight (in my region time).
Until then, you can only enjoy the feature between your iOS devices.

Double-check to make sure that the Mac in question is successfully running macOS 10.13.5 under >About this Mac. If it is showing 10.13.5, restart the Mac to see if that helps. You can also try disabling the account in Messages, and then re-enabling it to see if that helps.

Thanks GB, I have tried all 3 things but alas, there is no enable. I even tried deleting my iCloud account from iMessage entirely, and then putting it back. Nothing worked. I will play around a bit more and see if I can find a fix.

Do you have Two Factor Authentication enabled?
I am having exately the same issue. Installed macOS 10.13.5 yesterday (and it is correctely installed based on update history an "about your mac"). But the complete line with "Enable Message in iCloud" is missing.
I have already tried all tricks that were mentioned here, disables the account, rebootet... nothing works.
And yes, I have Two Factor Authentication enabled. :-(
Any further ideas, hints?
That is incorrect. They issued the update today. It works on my other mac.
Seems we need to wait until Apple will release macOS 10.13.5 to have the option!!!
Update: Apple has issued a MacOS HighSierra 10.13.5 update, supporting Messages in iCloud.
