I want to update the only real chatapp that is not controled by governments, telegram. How can I do this without using the Appstore.
The only supported means of installing and updating apps in iOS is the use of Apple’s App Store. Telegram Messenger would be updated like every other legitimate iOS app by chosing “updates” in the App Store.
You would need to contact the app developer regarding updates. If it is no longer in the App Store and there have been no updates for several months, then the developer may have stopped support for it.
This is a user community forum. We are all just users of Apple products like yourselves, so cannot change what is available in any given country’s App Store. If you wish to have Telegram in your countey’s App Store, you need to request the developer to make it available - Telegram Messenger
Individual developers decide where they wish to sell their products. That is not something Apple has a say in - third party developers are independent companies, making their own distribution decisions. However, the sevice or the company is banned, blocked or partially blocked in some countries (China blocks the Telegram service itself, for example, and the Iranian Government also partially blocks Telegram.
P.S. In the USA App Store the last update was 2+ months ago - published version 4.8.1

In the Appstore there are no updates available sinds several months. I want to update telegram without jailbreaking my iPhone. Please put telegram back in the Appstore so people in western countries can us it and have a save conversation were ever they are. This is important to us for our business comunictions to have a safe platform to use.

I have up-dated my desktop version from the website of the developer. For the desktop I had the same problem no updates in the Appstore. What I have been Reading is that Apple has removed telegram from the Appstore. Why not block it in countries who have restrictions on telegram. It is stupid to remove it for the whole world.
Please ADD it back to the Appstore.

Have you read the replies above? We can do nothing about apps that have been removed from the App Store.
I have nothing to do with Apple’s App Store - I do not and never have worked for Apple. This is a user community.
The App is still readily available in the USA Store - Telegram Messenger by Telegram LLC https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/telegram-messenger/id686449807?mt=8
It may not be available where you are. If so, that was a decision made by the developer, not Apple. Developers decide which national stores carry their product. That is not something Apple controls. Telegram is not Apple’s product or property. Apple doesn’t get to dictate where a developer chooses to offer their product.
