Norton Internet Security - Clean function crashes every time

I installed Norton Internet Security from the Comcast website. Everything worked fine for a while. Then the Clean option crashed. And it has crashed every time since. Uninstalling & reinstalling did not fix the problem.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Uninstall it and say good riddance. No Anti-Virus software or so-called “cleaning” apps are needed or recommended for Mac OS. They can conflict with Mac's own built-in security. At best they will slow your Mac by using unnecessary resources and at worst will bork your entire system.

I don't receive compensation for the recommendation, but I, and many others here use the free version of Malwarebytes, which only runs on demand, and does not run continuously, or impact the normal operation of macOS. Malware, and incompatible applications are the biggest threat to normal Mac operation.

When a Malwarebytes update is available, a notification will appear which allows you to download it, and the application will update itself.
