Since upgrading to iOS 11.4 yesterday, there is one beep between each song and two if I skip a song in iPhone Music App (not Apple Music). The beeps were definitely not there before the upgrade.
Anyone know why or how to turn them off??

You're entirely welcome, although I really wish I had something helpful at this point. I've opened up a support call with Apple but all I get are emails thanking me and hoping my problem was resoloved! I've responded twice now that nothing at all was done.
In my particular case, it happens with an add-on BlueTooth kit from GTA Car Kit in my 2006 Toyota Tacoma. The Kit has worked flawlessly for a couple of years now until the 11.4 upgrade, and exhibits the behavior with my iPhone 6 and my wife's iphone 6+. "Tech Support (loosely defined)" at GTA suggested a series of inane steps involving starting the car, pairing and turning the car off and something else. I told them it didnt work.
ALSO, readers of this thread should know that with me, its ONLY the Music app on the iPhone NOT Apple Music Streaming service.
Just for balance, mine is with a nearly new pair of Sennheiser noise cancelling phones. The beep is very annoying with noise cancelling :-) I didn't have a chance to set up the Apple call last night but will do so this weekend. I also posted a bug report to the Apple site.
I seriously almost threw away my bluetooth speaker box. It was beeping between every song and then it started to beep randomly in the middle of the song and lose bluetooth connection. This has to be fixed. I am going nuts! I need my speaker box and music while chilling at the pool doing nothing. I want to do nothing, not even re-establish my bluetooth every 2 minutes or listen to beeps! Please help Apple, I have too much invested in you.
*** UPDATE ***
I spoke to Apple Support this morning with the following results:
* They have had a handful of cases with this exact same issue, across different bluetooth devices.
* They first recommended I back-up, wipe and restore my iPhone 6. I lied and said I already did that. (I will NEVER do that-its code for "we dont know how to solve your problem.")
* Then they said across the handful of issues, it boiled down to working with the manufacturer of the affected device (some simply die and refunds are issued).
I will work with manufacturer (GTA Carkits) to get a replacement and follow-up with Apple after that. I will recommend Apple publish a list of affected devices and manufacturer contact info.

I already contacted Sennheiser and they said it is an iOS problem. I believe them, since this didn't happen before 11.4. I also expect they will be reluctant to issue a refund over this. I'm gonna keep after Apple to fix it.
*** Small Update ***
Bluetooth product vendor (GTA Carkits) tech is working with Apple on this. Apparently Apple IS aware that its an 11.4 upgrade related issue and is working to have it repaired in the 12.0 release. Also, some gobbldygook about Bluetooth 4. (didnt understand that part)
More later after replacement received and installed. I dont expect any improvement.
Noticed another thing about how this issue behaves on different bluetooth speakers/connections. I have tested this now in my car, my Yamaha receiver, 2 Anker Soundcore speakers, and 2 sets of bluetooth earbud headphones. The only place I get the beeps is in my headphones - no beeps on any of the other devices. The extra thing I noticed about this is that it is only my headphones that also provide that same audible beep when I change the volume, either on the phone or via the headphones. Therefore there must be something about the version of bluetooth and the device where if it provides that audible alert for volume changes, as of ios 11.4 it also started beeping between songs.
I too am experiencing this issue with any bluetooth connected output. I have a pair of bluetooth headphones (M-Pow 5), GTA car kit in my SUV, Volkswagen bluetooth receiver in my wife's car... all exhibit the "beep" before any track plays. When I airplay to my apple TV (which goes over the wi-fi), no beep. I'm pretty sure it's a bluetooth issue.
Was working fine in 11.3. Started in 11.4. I just upgraded to 11.4.1 and the problem is still there. Tried every thing I could think of; turning system haptics on/off, turning volume limiter on/off, playing with various notification settings, etc. No joy.
Really hope I don't have to wait until 12 is released to fix this... I may just upgrade to the beta of 12 in hopes it's already fixed there and they just didn't backport the fix.
Similar problem here. For over a year, I've had a bluetooth adapter in the car. One song played after the next, no problem. After the update to 11.4, there is a beep in between each song, similar to when I use the controls on the adapter to advance songs. It only happens on my car adapter, not when I use AirPods. 11.4.1 did not fix it.
UPDATE: Since replacing the GTA Carkit in my Toyota Tacoma, first the beeps were still there but the next day they were gone. I’ve not driven it in a week but will report back any findings. The vendor can’t explain this behavior.
I had this issue with my Bluetooth in the car. It ended out being a warning that my volume on the phone was up all the way.
Turned the volume down a bit on the phone and the beep (between songs) went away immediately.
I had this iissue on GTA Carkits Bluetooth receiver I installed in a Toyota Tacoma. As mentioned previously, the manufacturer was terrific (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for this application) and exchanged the device, free of charge and the problem went away. It hasnt returned in two months. I wish I knew conclusively what the solution is but in my case, I know it started after the 11.4 upgrade, has nothing to do with the volume setting and wasnt solved by plugging/unplugging the bluetooth device or re-booting my iPhone 6.

Interesting! I have a Bose Bluetooth, which I feed into my MacIntosh preamp. I get the beeps every few seconds, only with Apple Music, while streaming, and only while a song is playing. It doesn’t happen with my iPhone library, and it doesn’t happen streaming Spotify. And it only happens when I’m pairing music to theBose - not in the headphones, for example. It is ruining Neil Young!!

With phone volume turned up all the way
I was getting a tone or beep between each song. Turned volume down one notch and the tone/beep disappeared. Turned it back up and the tone returned.

I'm glad this worked for you. But honestly, that's really not a solution. According to Apple support staff, certain devices are affected by this issue starting after iOS 11.4 so its a device (firmware?) issue, not a volume setting issue. But hey-it you cant hear the beeps, thats all that matters!
