Since upgrading to iOS 11.4 yesterday, there is one beep between each song and two if I skip a song in iPhone Music App (not Apple Music). The beeps were definitely not there before the upgrade.
Anyone know why or how to turn them off??

I had this issue with my Bluetooth in the car. It ended out being a warning that my volume on the phone was up all the way.
Turned the volume down a bit on the phone and the beep (between songs) went away immediately.
If I am listening to a song and then skip to the next one, I get two beeps.
And this is only on my Bluetooth audio system in the car. I going to reach out to the manufacturer of that system today and report back.
And I'd also like to take this opportunity to than Apple for the complete lack of input to this site, or even for 2nd level tech participation. This seems like an excellent place to discover issues and enhancements for their products for nothing. So thanks, Apple. We all really appreciate the opportunity to scratch around in the dark with no help from you.
I'm having another issue along with this one and I will set up a support call with Apple. I'll post back if anything comes of it. Most likely a bug they will fix in the next release, if we hound them enough.
Just want to add my input. First, thank you boulderskies@ck for posting this note and letting Apple Music users know that there is nothing that can be done to eliminate the beeps. The beeps are really annoying! I spent about an hour trying to figure what was going on and finally found your post. I hope this defect is fixed soon.
Really find it hard to believe that Apple could have allowed this fundamental flaw to escape on iOS 11.4.
Just for balance, mine is with a nearly new pair of Sennheiser noise cancelling phones. The beep is very annoying with noise cancelling :-) I didn't have a chance to set up the Apple call last night but will do so this weekend. I also posted a bug report to the Apple site.
I seriously almost threw away my bluetooth speaker box. It was beeping between every song and then it started to beep randomly in the middle of the song and lose bluetooth connection. This has to be fixed. I am going nuts! I need my speaker box and music while chilling at the pool doing nothing. I want to do nothing, not even re-establish my bluetooth every 2 minutes or listen to beeps! Please help Apple, I have too much invested in you.
Interesting! I have a Bose Bluetooth, which I feed into my MacIntosh preamp. I get the beeps every few seconds, only with Apple Music, while streaming, and only while a song is playing. It doesn’t happen with my iPhone library, and it doesn’t happen streaming Spotify. And it only happens when I’m pairing music to theBose - not in the headphones, for example. It is ruining Neil Young!!
I've just got a new iPhone 8 upgraded to iOS 12.0 and I'm getting the beep between songs.
I'm using Sennheiser Noise Cancelling headphones HD 4.50BTNC
The volume up to full then down again Reddit tip didn't work for me. Would love a fix!
Interesting. Maybe..who knows. But you're right-the volume is more consistent now.
I thought the issue for me was replacing the bluetooth transmitter because the beeps went away completely. But then I upgraded to Mojave on my Mac, which I think included an iTunes upgrade and then upgraded to 12.0 iOS and the beeps were back!

I've heard about that "work-around" before and it worked with IOs 11.4 and my Sennheiser HD 4.40 headphones.
But now -with IOS 12.01- it doesn't work anymore, at least not with my Sennheiser HD 4.40

So it works if I turn the volume at Max and KEEP it at max: The beep is gone.
But it blows my ears away, it's far too loud!
I connected my Phones to an iphone X and IOS 12.1 (a beta version) and there was no beep between the songs.
I don't know if there is no beeping sound because of the iphoneX OR because of the new IOS-Version.
I think there are a lot of people with our beeping problem, there are a lot of forums around and a lot of people just don't care enough.
Using fix suggested is not working for me:
- Volume max on iPhone: I don't want to deaf yet. Anyway beep still sounds.
- After that, min volume on headphones: Beep still sounds while decreasing volume... No matter headphones has an independent volume control or not.
- After that, control volume with headphones: Still beeping, no matter if it has and independent volume control or not.
Volker W. Hautsch, do you think iOS12.1 (beta) is fixing beeping problem? I don't have an iPhoneX but if the beta is fixing the problem maybe we have to wait some weeks to have iOS 12.1 released and then forget about beeping problem!

It could be, that the iPhone X to which I connected once my Sennheisers solved the problem.
I for myself I'm using an iPhone 8 and IOs 12.01 with the beeping problem.
Perhaps there is someone working for apple who could tell us if apple is working for a solution (in IOS 12.1 or later)!
I have this issue on my iPhone SE, I recently upgraded to IOS 12.01 and it is still occuring. I happens on 2 different Bluetooth headsets and only within iTunes. I use the podcast app and other media apps and none of them do this. The headsets work great on other devices (laptop and an Android phone). The battery on both devices show fully charged and the volume is not high, usually 6 or 7.
This is getting extremely annoying, Apple please fix this!
Thanks, did not notice this post earlier. Fixed my issue also, will see if it is perm or if I have to do this everytime. Still annoying that Apple has this 'feature', would prefer not to have to deal with it

The beeping sound between the songs is still there.
That means, Apple did not think it was important to fix that bug!
It’s just boring!
And I never ever will by an iPhone again.
I hope a lot of people will that do too!
