iOS 11.4: iPhone Music App Beeps Between Songs?

I have been very frustrated with this, glad other folks have seen this too.

Apple Support seems to think it’s the headphone manufactures product causing the issue. But I have tried three separate headsets all with the same beeps between songs.

Today I tried CesarJazzFusions method and seems to work (for now). Can only use the headset to adjust volume...

If Apple is reading this, please address this issue. Can’t imagine volume control is a “nice to have” considering today’s status quo with technology. Also because you selected to offer you devices without a headphone jack (really?)

I believe the "beeps" are being caused by the file type being used for your music files when you synch your device.

When you attach your device to your computer to synch it, in the left side panel under "Settings" there is an option at the top called "Summary". When you click "Summary", a page opens up. There is a pane for "Backups", and under that there is a pane for "Options" In the options pane, you can check a box that says "Convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC. (I believe AAC is an Apple audio format.) I checked that box, and that is when I started hearing the beeps between tracks on my blue-tooth headphones. So I went back in and unchecked the box and re-synched my device, and the beeps stopped.

the beep-issue is annoying. since i noticed recently different behaviour when using Duolingo, i started to make a test on this issue. below are my results shown in a chart. i hope that it helps some people to solve their issue.

IT ONLY REFERS TO THE MENTIONED HARDWARE/SOFTWARE. no other combination was tested.

i found out some interesting things:

• there was already a beep before iOS 11.4 (just less annoying)
• there are different count of volume levels on phone and headphone (16 vs 15)
• pushing the volume button on the phone or the headphone can not have the same effect (see issues in Duolingo), so i have no clue how volume adjustment over BT is supposed to work
• bluetooth is buggy. it's strange that the BT-icon is not working in all constellations

i'll contact Apple and Teufel and try to find out more on the topic in order to understand.

Same here Since upgrading to iOS 11.4 yesterday, there is one beep between each song in iPhone Music App (not Apple Music). The beeps were definitely not there before the upgrade. ANYONE?

But this is a user-to-user Forum. Apple has never offered input here. If you need help from Apple you need to contact Apple Support.

I tried the haptics suggestion too but without any improvement.

Mine suddenly stopped doing this just as mysteriously as it started.

Just FYi, I haven't noticed the issue with my Ford Sync system, but I did on the Bluetooth earbuds I use at work.

I have the same issue on my iPad and it has become quite annoyino.
