iOS 11.4: iPhone Music App Beeps Between Songs?

Update: The 11.4.1 fix didn't last more than a day or two. I think the problem recurs as soon as you manually forward a song using the headphones...but can't be sure.

That's interesting but not feasible for everyone with headphones that generally don't have an independent volume that is separate from the phone's volume.

It blows my ears away,

and it still beeps between the songs!

I tried: setting the volume to max on phone

and setting the volume to max on earphones.

But it still beeps!

Sorry, but the aformentioned workaround works only with volume at max!

So, this is no fundamental solution!

With my pair of Sennheiser headphones (HD 4.40) that doesn't work.

It works for me if I turn the volume to max and keep it at max!!!!!!!

But that's far too loud.

Still happening on 12.1. Same thing for me, started with 11.4. It's almost like Apple doesn't want me to llisten to my own music or something?

Come on let's fix this, Apple.

Sorry for multiple posts, site was partly down, but set my tries to store in a queue.

I do not see a solution from Apple, my software version is 12.1.4 so supersedes the version 11 so any fixes should have been included in new software but obviously not.

I have the same issue since updating to ios 11.4 last night. Along with the beep, my bluetooth speaker stops playing music and I have to manually hit the volume up button to play more music.

Since this is a new issue with this update and my music played fine yesterday with the previous ios I really don't want to hear from Apple about how this is an issue other than with ios 11.4. It would be completely unreasonable to suggest that the problem is with the speaker as it worked find with ios 11.3 yesterday. This has effectively bricked my bluetooth speaker and I would find it unreasonable to suggest that I purchase a different speaker to resolve this issue.

A timely fix from Apple would be appreciated. I find music vital to helping me get through my workday smoothly and streaming music throughout my office over my speaker is the way I do that. As I said, my speaker is now an expensive brick that will only play one song at a time with an annoying beep at the end. Unless, that is, I am willing to walk to the speaker and hit the volume button after every song.

Me too, I think that‘s a problem with Bluetooth profiles on iphones.

I have Bluetooth Speakers with an independent volume control and it doesn’t beep.

My Sennheiser HD 4.40BT controls the iPhone volume and they are beeping.

They were peeping with ios 11.4, with ios 12 and they’re peeping with ios 12.01

I don’t want a peep when one song leads to another! It *****!

And: No, adjusting the volume on the iPhone to Max doesn't help!

So please, verify that as a bug and fix our problem!

I believe the "beeps" are being caused by the file type being used for your music files when you synch your device.

When you attach your device to your computer to synch it, in the left side panel under "Settings" there is an option at the top called "Summary". When you click "Summary", a page opens up. There is a pane for "Backups", and under that there is a pane for "Options" In the options pane, you can check a box that says "Convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC. (I believe AAC is an Apple audio format.) I checked that box, and that is when I started hearing the beeps between tracks on my blue-tooth headphones. So I went back in and unchecked the box and re-synched my device, and the beeps stopped.
