No click on power button (MacBook 2017 15-inch)

I have encountered a problem with my power button (the one that also serves as a TouchID login). When I pressed it, it clicked once and then it stopped clicking. There's a slight movement on its right side when I press it but apparently, it doesn't power on the computer. TouchID works though. I'm not sure if it's a butterfly-type or not.

Is this something fixable? Maybe something got under it? Has someone encountered a similar issue?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you for your response. The button is still not operating correctly. I have found out about this when the computer became unresponsive. I have decided to click on it and hold it to reboot the Mac (this step is also in the guide that you sent).

The button now cannot be pressed. The laptop turns on and off but does not make a click sound and does not do anything. I had to wait until the laptop basically died to unfreeze the machine.
