Since upgrading to iPhone X my car doesn’t read out my text messages anymore

My Mazda has always read my texts as they come through. I have upgraded to IPhone X and since then I have been unable to work out why this has stopped. I have Not enabled the don’t disturb while driving. My notification previews are set to always. I’ve tried re pairing my device and car. My phone software is up to date. Please help I have run out of solutions
