Unable to erase CD-RW disc

Using High Sierra. Have erased discs successfully in past using Disk Utilities but when I go there now, Erase is in light gray.

iMac, macOS High Sierra (10.13.4)

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand you are trying erase a CD-RW disc on your iMac. If the function is not in Disk Utility, but you can still do it using Finder. Right-click and the CD-RW disc and choose the option to erase from the menu that appears.
Burn CDs and DVDs
