iTunes Connect podcast image error - Validation

Hello all,

I've been messing with trying to get my podcast on iTunes for hours now and I'm at my wits end. Every time I try to validate my podcast through iTunes Connect I get the same error "Podcast artwork must be between 1400 x 1400 and 3000 x 3000 pixels, JPG or PNG, in RGB color space, and hosted on a server that allows HTTP head requests.". What's odd is that the image shows up when I paste in my RSS, but I still get the error.

I have tried resizing my image countless times within the dimensions they have outlined, tried both JPG and PNG, and I'm sure where I am hosting allows for HTTP head requests. Not sure what else I can do at this point.

I've tried validating straight from the RSS generated from my Wordpress (https://heyilikethatgame.wordpress.com/category/podcast/feed/) and also from the feedburner i set up (http://feeds.feedburner.com/HeyILikeThatGame).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The part of the URL before the '?' is an image of 3000 x 3000px, but the full URL resizes it to 1100 x 1100px. Also the original image file size is 2.5MB - it must be less than 500kB. The resized version is smaller than that. The image is also very blurred, evidently blown up from smaller.

I should start again. Create an image which is 1400 x 1400px or larger up to 3000 x 3000 px (though there's no point in going that large) and smaller than 500-kB, and post a direct URL without the scripting.
