a couple of (well known) retailers in Australia are advertising the basic, current ipad with two options - 5th gen or 6th generation.
I can't find any mention of this on the apple site. Is it a con?!!

The 6th generation iPad (the latest) is the one that also support Apple Pencil like the iPad Pro.
Apple is not selling the 5th generation anymore. (6 replaces the 5)

If you are looking at legit Apple Store Online, it mentions the 6th generation iPad, it supports Apple Pencil. It don’t mention older 5th generation, it’s sold out, the only other iPads are the iPad Pros, iPad Mini 4.
