Help! how do I recover my unsaved Stickies?

I'm using my MacBook Air as I normally would. Opened my Stickies app to jot down work notes. I never close (press X) on any of my Stickies, I just quit the app. Whenever I re-open the app, my notes have always been there. I never needed to save it to anywhere. Today, I'm using it as per usual. But suddenly on re-opening the Stickies app, it just shows a blank sticky. All the notes I jotted down are gone! Please help!

--Some more info... I don't use Time Machine because these are daily/weekly work notes that I delete as I finish my relevant projects. However, they are very important and I'm getting cold sweat as we speak. I do use stickies on my dashboard and all the jotted notes on there have not disappeared. Just the ones on my Stickies App have disappeared. I have tried opening the com.apple.Stickies copy.plist file and my jotted notes aren't on there. I also opened my StickiesDatabase in textedit and my jotted notes aren't on there either.

MacBook Air, macOS High Sierra (10.13.4)

If among the files you backup is your home Library folder, you may be in luck. In any case, the stickies data are stored in the file StickiesDatabase in your home Library folder. In Finder, press option while viewing the Go menu. Select "Library" and you will find the file there. Presumably the file is corrupted somehow but maybe you can get something off of it, e.g., by opening it with TextEdit.
