aol mail

I cannot receive or send aol mail This started just a couple of days ago. I have tried everything! I keep receiving the message "Cannot get mail. The user name or password for imap.aol.com is incorrect." I hadn't done anything to change anything. I tried the different things from others with the same problems but that didn't work either. Help!! Thank you

iPhone X, iOS 11.4, All products affected.

Hey screenminimizer,

Getting mail on my iPhone is important for my work and personal life. I'd love to help out with your mail issue.

You mentioned that you had done some steps. Let's continue with steps here if you're unable to receive mail:

If you can’t send or receive emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

If you've done all the steps and need more help, continue at the bottom of that article:

If you still need help

Contact your email provider. You can also remove your email account, then set it up again.

Contact your email provider or system administrator

  1. Contact your email provider or check their status webpage to see if there's a service outage.
  2. Ask your email provider or system administrator if you turned on any security features or restrictions, like two-step verification, for your email account. You might need a special password or need to request authorization from your email provider to send and receive email on your device.
  3. Check your email account settings with your email provider or system administrator to make sure that they're correct.

Remove your email account and set it up again

  1. On your computer, sign in to your email provider’s website. Make sure that all of your email is there or make sure that your email is saved somewhere other than your iOS device.
  2. On your iOS device, go to Settings > Accounts & Passwords.
  3. Tap the email account that you want to remove.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. Add your account again.
Cheers!
