I added subtitles to my FCPX project using CEA -608. When I play the movie within FCPX project everything is OK and the subtitles visible. However sharing the file to Vimeo or export file, the subtitles do not appear visible.
The info settings tell me that the captions will be embedded in the videotrack.
But nothing appears in the QuickTime movie.
What do I wrong ?

Captions are not "burned in" the video.
If you exported to vimeo, and under Settings you included the captions:
then they are available in vimeo, but are not shown by default.
The viewer has to click the "CC" button below the video in the Vimeo page, or the captions button if viewing full screen:

Closed captions are not subtitles. You need a tool to convert captions to titles.
