Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I have the little red notification on my App Store and it’s because the actual App Store needs to update. But whenever I try to it just spins for a second then doesnt actually update. I’ve tried logging out of my Apple ID and then turning the phone on and off and that doesn’t work. Not sure what else to do. It’s a brand new phone.
That is not the same thing as the App Store. You can find the Apple Store app on your device and delete it by lightly touching the icon until they all start to wiggle. Then click on the "X" in the upper left-hand corner to delete it.

Try deleting the Apple Store app and then redownload it via the App Store app

Delete it and redownload it from the App Store
Open the app and it will tell you there is an update available, click update and voila......
