Google mail print. Not working in safari. But is working in Chrome

My google mail account has stopped working in Safari, when I click on the document to see it in the browser, then click"print" and try and print something from that browser. It works fine in chrome, but I rarely use chrome.

After clicking print in the browser I get a "safari cannot open page" followed by a message saying "this might occur if you are redirected to open another page which then is redirected to open another page".

Interestingly. It worked with an image, but when I opening up a word document or pdf attachment it failed, I can click and see it in the browser, but it doesn't seem to want to print...

I'd rather not have to use chrome when checking and printing my email, so any assistance in fixing what the new issue with safari google printing is, would be much appreciated.
