I didnt have a usb power adapter and it was late i was tired and didnt think straight so i rewired a cable to make power come straight from the outlet . Ithoungt it would charge and charge it even faster then with an adapter but when i plugged it in a huge ball of sparks and smoke just flew out of the connection and now it wont turn on . Any way to fix it ?
If you bypassed the power block and plugged directly into an outlet, you may have fried it. Make a reservation for an evaluation at an apple store and be prepared to purchase an out of warranty replacement.
