new iphones 8,no sound for phone or email
My new iphone 8 makes no sound for icoming calls and email.Volume is high and have selected sounds for both.
it only makes email sound when I press email and press the email to read it.

Do you have the phone set on Do Not Disturb? Settings>Do Not Disturb.
Do you have the mute switch engaged? It's the slider on the side just above the volume buttons. If you see orange, the phone is muted. Slide the switch.
