passcode on the apple wireless keyboard

I had to remove my apple keyboard and when I try to reinstall, I am being asked for a passcode. Entered what was given to me, but it is not working! Any ideas on where I can reset it or double check that what I wrote down is correct so I can reconnect?

Cannot Unlock M1 MacBook with 4 character passcode Apparently I mistyped or forgot the 4 character passcode to my new M1 MacBook. Is there a way to unlock it ? I certainly don't want to render it useless when it is 24 hours old. I have 3 Macs, each has a slightly different 4 character passcode. Any thoughts from the Community ?

HI,

Apple Wireless Keyboard requires the passcode that appears on your Mac. Enter the 8-digit passcode on the keyboard, then press Return.
