Since the new update to IOS 11.4 my phone number is not in the iMessage send and receive. If I try to add it to iCloud section above, it still does not show up. My text are not coming to my iPad.

Yes, thank you. It now works.
On my iPhone I had to sign in to my Apple ID in send and receive (Small box at top asking me if I want to use my Apple ID) to have a choice to use my Apple ID under send and receive.
I hadn’t done this because I didn’t want to use my Apple ID to receive text messages.
This apparently caused my phone number to appear on my iPad “Send and Receive“ section so I could check The phone number as my choice.
On my iPhone, under messages, I had to turn on the iPad switch under text forwarding to make the iPad receive.

You have to get it fixed on your iPhone.
Otherwise your iPad would not be able to send SMS.
So how do I do that?
