Suddenly having trouble downloading certain podcasts (unknown error occurred (0x80090302)

I was able to fix this by (retch) updating to the newest version of iTunes. Somebody said it has something to do with the European GDPR thing. Of course using 12.7.5 has introduced whole host of other problems but my podcasts did start updating again.

I'm having this same issue. On Friday only one show wouldn't download but others were fine. This morning nothing will download.

When I click on the error icon in the podcasts screen I get the 0x80090302 error but when I look in my Downloads window I see "err = -2146893054"

Googling either error code gets me lots of other people with similar issues and 0 answers. I'm hoping somebody somewhere can help because this is getting very frustrating. I know it's not the podcast feeds themselves because I can download the episodes through other means or on other devices, just not in iTunes. But I want to sync to my iPod Classic so I'm kind of stuck.
