iOS Over Cropping Photos

I'm running iOS 11 but have had this problem for years on multiple iPads.

You begin to crop a photo, and right away iOS has a little seizure and spins and zooms in, but at least you can press "reset" and it un-seizures.

Then I crop the image and save it, but then iOS crops it even more. No matter how many times I re-do it, it over crops what I tell it to. And with the millions of memes floating around the internet with the slightly cut off words, I know I'm not the only one having this problem. Anybody have any idea?

Snap a photo .... Camera app crashes Camera app is crashing each time I try to snap a photo. Recent problem, not related to any event that I know of such as several updates, one restore, new phone. Second gen SE, IOS 13.5.1
