Safari bookmarks and folders

I followed some online advice about how to sort Safari bookmark folders but copying them to Finder. They sorted ok but I lost all my non-folder bookmarks and now have to manually re-enter folder names in Safari before I can copy and paste the URL contents. What pain.

If anyone can help me find my bookmarks per se, please let me know how. I tried to use Time Capsule and restore the bookmark plist but nothing happened. The links in folders are probably more important right now.

The other thing - I used to have an app that sorted Safari's bookmarks and folders but I can't remember it's name...if someone can help, please do.

Thank you dominic23. I had no idea that Advance section existed - so helpful. I have, however, re-downloaded SafariSort, a free app I used to have and must somehow have deleted - it actually sorts folders as well which Apple doesn't seem to do, only sorts within folders which is a pain. I also bought BookmarkApp which helps sort and gets rid of duplicates of both folders and bookmarks.
