Quicktime Fill Screen Issue

User uploaded fileHi, I have a problem that was already discussed here six months ago (8225981).

When entering fill screen mode in Quicktime, the whole screen becomes scrambled as soon as the player controls disappear, i.e. horizontal colored / black lines. Audio continues to work.

I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports) with Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650 1536 MB.

The photo I posted was taken by my iPhone, because it is not possible to take a screenshot of it, as the screenshoot will always look fine.

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, 4 TBT3), macOS Sierra (10.12.6), null

Hey there, Luca,

Thanks for stopping by the Apple Support Communities. From your post, I see that entering full screen with Quick Time causes the whole display to be covered in various blocks/lines instead of the video. I'm happy to help!

Since you mentioned that a screenshot does not capture the issue, it sounds to me like the issue is hardware related. Based on that, I would recommend taking the MacBook Pro into an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to get it inspected. Once a Genius or Apple-certified technician diagnoses the issue, they can tell you what can be done to fix it. If you need to find the nearest store, get contact information, or want to schedule a reservation, you can do that here: Apple - Find Locations .

You're also welcome to reach out to Apple Support directly for more information, and to review your options: Contact Apple Support .

Have a great day.

Hello, and thanks for your answer.

No, entering full screen mode on Quickplay doesn’t cause problems, but entering FILL screen yes. I don’t think that the issue is hardware related, because if I put the volume up, the badge appears on the screen and the issue disappear (but when the badge shuts, the lines appear again). I hope I’ve been clear, have a good day!
