I have 2 email addresses associated with my Apple ID. One is no longer supported, I don't pay for it any more. How can I remove that email address from my Apple ID. It no longer recognises my passwords, either the original or subsequent ones.?

That opening page does not give guidance as to what options to pick. Am I being slow?
In the first section the address should show under Reachable at. Click the Edit button and then click the X next to the e-mail address.
