My files won't move to trash and this pop-up msg appears:
"This item will be deleted immediately. You can’t undo this action."
I did some research and delete some large files but didn't solve it.

sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash

Are these files located on an unusual drive, such as a Drive Shared with other Macs on your Network?
If so, this is a feature that prevents multiple Readers from getting a bad Copy of the data from the file while it seems to be gone, but is still accessible while in the Trash.
The File is deleted immediately instead, and all future requests will be denied, because the file is GONE.
