Can it damage my speaker

I was talking but I accidentally spit on the top speaker and in went side of it can it damage it

Can a close-case damage my iphone? I bought this “survival” case for my iphone which is closed. Been using it for two weeks and noticed sound is not the same with the case on (which consists of two pieces, closing the phone completely). Sound is more crisp and cleaner without it. My question is, does it damage the performance of my iphone-speaker on the long-run? Should I change my case?

Yes, any water that intrudes inside a delicate electronic device can cause damage. As to whether it has or not, time will tell.
