Sure. You can use any Bluetooth-based wireless mouse.
Most of them should work out of the box, but if you have some fancy biometric, 100-button, triple-scrollwheel, nuclear-powered device, you may need to install drivers from the vendor to get all the extra buttons to work. 🙂

Most mice should work. Personal preference is the apple Magic Mouse for it's gestures.
Macs can support wireless Mice fine. And no it does not have to be an Apple mouse. It can be any brand of mouse.
If its a Bluetooth based mouse, it can be directly paired with the Mac via the Bluetooth menu.
If its an RF wireless mouse with a usb receiver, you can plug the receiver in any USB port and it should work just fine.
