Message Sync between watch phone

I am having a problem syncing my I watch to my iPhone with Messages if I delete them on my phone they will not delete on the I watch.I am running the newest software on both my iPhone a I am running the newest software on both my iPhone 8 and my I watch series 3 with the newest software any suggestions .

I remember Apple made it possible to sync messages across devices awhile ago so I don't understand why this is happening. Options of syncing or not syncing messages If you are receiving one set of text messages on iPhone and one set of messages on iPad and do not have them synced to both receive the same conversation would all messages still sync to Apple Watch, Possible or not?
